Rochford Housing

Rochford Housing is a thriving housing association, managing 1,750 homes in the Rochford district of Essex.

Rochford Housing is led by 12 board members. Of these, four are tenant representatives, four are local council representatives and four are ‘independent’ members who are appointed to bring specific skills and experience to the board, such as legal and financial.

These members monitor the organisation’s performance in delivering and improving services to residents, approve the budget and expenditure and provide guidance to ensure that the Association delivers the promises made to residents in 2007, when their homes were transferred to Rochford Housing Association from the local Council.

As part of the transfer the Association committed to a five year major investment programme of £27 million to bring homes up to and beyond the Government’s Decent Homes Standard which was completed in March 2013.
